The essence of our vodka is a result of 30 years of experimenting with the design of the distillation process and, more recently, harmonizing the chemistry and taste of raw Louisiana sweet potatoes and cane sugar, both tilled in the same Mississippi river delta.
Our custom-built equipment is designed to effectively marry raw Louisiana sweet potatoes and cane sugar to give our vodka the vibrant essence of Louisiana.
Our distillery is located in Bogalusa, Louisiana inside an old milk bottling plant retrofitted to distill the best possible vodka. The unique character of this space perfectly matches the personality of our vodka.
We maintain a constant focus on the creation of an exquisite tasting vodka achieved in our unique process of compressing together the savory native essence of sweet potatoes with the earthy sweetness of raw cane sugar.
Naturally, Paul became interested in the techniques of creating alcohol. From the fermentation of wine to the distillation of spirits, Paul saw how people all over the world crafted drinks that used local ingredients to tell the story of a particular place and time.
Paul’s time in Italy and Japan taught him the importance of regional variance and how to draw on local ingredients to create a drink that tells the story of a particular place and time.
Eventually, Paul’s journey brought him to Louisiana where he began searching for the ingredients that could tell the story of this unique place and special time. Paul’s search ended when he began experimenting with Louisiana sweet potatoes.
